Immunizations

The ultimate goal of the health department is that every child, woman, and man receive all recommended vaccines. The following immunizations are available at the Douglas County Health Department by appointment. To make an appointment contact us at (417) 683-4174.

• Hepatitis A and B are available for residents over the age of 18.
• Tetanus is available for residents over the age of 18 with an order from thier physician.
• Seasonal flu shots are provided based on availability of funds and vaccine.

• Required immunizations are provided to preschool and school age children who are uninsured or have MC+. Children who are not eligible are referred to a local health care provider.
• To receive immunizations children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present, have appropriate records, and have a scheduled appointment.
